Latin Soul came as a continued vision from the Martinez’s family. Chef Mama Martinez was taught by her mother the art of traditional Dominican cuisine. As a young girl, she helped her aunts with their dine-in restaurant in Dominican Republic serving the lunch hour crowd. Coming to the United States, after getting her Bacholer’s Degree in Accounting, she often fantasized running her own restaurant bringing the same love and care in every dish. She quit her accounting career and pursued her dream of becoming chef. In 2009, Latin Soul was opened.
